The East Lighthouse was home to Sir Peter Scott, son of Robert Falcon Scott, "Scott of the Antarctic".
The East lighthouse was home to Peter Scott's first wildfowl collection, established between the wars and formed the ideas that led to Peter founding the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust .
