Reporting to Technical Manager and Technical Director, responsible for commissioning (from storage) injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment to manufacture components for high speed motor assemblies. Specification of new and replacement i.m.m’s and ancillary equipment. Preparation of moulded magnetics materials. Some pressing and sintering of magnetics materials. Trsining plans for the moulding department and product lines. Budget responsibility for 10% of a 7 figure total budget. Study for AND in Mechanical Engineering Technology. (BTEC 5)

SEP 2013 to FEB 2017 MASSMOULD WEEKEND FACTORY MANAGER
Reporting to Factory Manager/ Site Director, responsible for 1 Shift Supervisor, 2 Moulding Technicians, 2 QC Technicians and 6 Moulding Operatives. Product range is caps and closures, clients include Unilever, Lever Brothers, Nestle. Kraft and Robinsons. 26 presses to 450T and process includes twin shot cube moulding, cap wadding and high speed component assembly. Manage site services and facilities, equipment and tooling service and repair. Manage contractors.

AUG 2011 to MAY 2012 ALTO PACKAGING, CHRISTCHURCH,NZ SHIFT TECHNICIAN.
Reporting to Shift Manager/Moulding Manger, tool and process setting in main mould shop. Machine sizes -50Tonnes to 500 Tonnes. Tooling – hot and cold runner to 8 imps, Materials – PP; PS; LDPE; PA6; PA6,6; PC; PET; POM, PC/ABS. Product Range includes electrical (IP56), animal ear tag systems, animal drench systems, some healthcare.
Position made redundant MAY 2012. Returned to UK Sep 2012.

APR 2011 to JUL 2011 MORGAN CERTECH TEMPORARY PROJECT ENGINEER
Installation and commissioning of new cooling water ring main, Process Optimisation of Ceramic Injection Moulding for Yield Increase & Process Capability. Manufacturer of wax cores for Turbine blades. 12 week contract prior to emigrating.

JAN 2002 to JAN 2011 BESPAK EUROPE PLC TOOLING APPROVAL PROCESS TECHNICIAN
As TAPT, responsible for Tooling Approval Process for all tooling for business and product streams. Initially, reporting to TAP Manager, worked on tooling consolidation for a business stream, inhaled drug delivery device, with introduction of valve gated tooling, associated ancillary equipment and upgrade to facilities infrastructure. 14 month period as dedicated Process Engineering Technician for another business stream working on improvement programme for ultrasonic weld beads for catheter valves. Returned to Tooling Approval supporting all business units. Final work period as TAPT, dedicated to one business stream, inhaled drug delivery device. Fanuc to 300Tonnes , Demag to 280Tonnes, Engel to 240Tonnes, mix of electric and hydraulic, extensive use of side cores. TAPT role made redundant Aug 2009. Currently working as Moulding Technical Operator.
NOV 1996 to JAN 2002 FINEMOULDS, DIVISION OF ALAN GROUP
SHIFT MANAGER/TECHNICIAN
Reporting to Production Director, responsible for 15 machines, 1 Line Inspector and 3 Production Standards Controllers. Producing electronic and data transmission connectors in ETP’s. In addition to running a busy mould shop producing 20 million components/month the Shift Manager was responsible for tool changes, first-off inspection, tooling and material trials, fault-finding, maintenance and staff training. Promoted from Technician to Shift Manger Feb 2000. Machinery was less than six years old with an ongoing conversion to all-electric to 150Tonnes with 3 axis robots and sprue pickers.
LEISURE/INTERESTS.
FIELDSPORTS – recently Hon. Sec. ( 5 years in post) for one of the largest wildfowling clubs in the country, freehold and sporting lease management in excess of £600,000. 4 year project working on club/ public project to conserve a noted historic building and develop a visitor centre attraction with a capital expenditure in excess of £1,500,000. Land Purchase, jointly, by 8 clubs. Club has over 300 full members. Club represented at local, regional and national level with a variety of NGO’s associated with land management and conservation matters.
